Georgia joined Local Partnerships in July 2014 having trained and qualified into the Projects team at city law firm Nabarro LLP (now CMS).
In private practice, Georgia specialised in advising local authorities and the private sector in a range of public private partnerships (including PFI) in the waste, education and housing/regeneration sectors; she also gained extensive experience negotiating a range of other non-standard commercial arrangements involving public bodies and particular expertise in public procurement and other matters of public law (including state aid and vires issues). Georgia continues to develop her specialism working in the public sector arena at Local Partnerships, for example, providing legal oversight of the energy-saving Re:fit programme (framework co-owned by Local Partnerships and the Greater London Authority), helping public bodies develop commercial and procurement strategy within the renewables sector in response to the climate emergency and providing assistance to the Welsh Government in relation to its waste recycling programme.
