Councillor Graham Chapman has been a member of the board since its inception in 2009. First elected to Nottingham City Council in 1987, he served as leader from 1995 – 2002 when he retired voluntarily. He is now working part time with the LGA as a mentor and adviser to councils in the East Midlands and North East and is Chair of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Health Service Strategic Partnering Board. He is a former deputy chair of the East Midlands Development Agency and currently chairs the Nottinghamshire LIFT Strategic Partnership.
