Councillor Steve Count have been a successful businessman with diverse businesses prior to concentrating on politics. Steve became a district councillor in 2009 and then county councillor in 2011, becoming leader of Cambridge County Council in 2014, when he was elected unanimously by all parties. His major successes to date include the delivery of the City deal worth Β£500m followed by delivery of the Combined Authority worth Β£770m for the people of Cambridgeshire.
Steve is happily married to his wife, June, and when not involved in council work they operate a successful property rental portfolio.
Cllr Count joined Local Partnerships’ Board in July 2019.
