We’re delighted to announce that in January 2020 Sarah-Joy Lewis and Michael O’Doherty joined the Local Partnerships team. Each will work across a diverse range of projects with special focus on housing delivery, infrastructure, commercialisation, supplementing skills or capacity gaps within local and combined authorities. Sarah-Joy and Michael bring a combination of experience gained across both public and private sectors and are a great addition to our team.
Sarah-Joy has previously worked extensively with both local authorities and registered providers, as well as national governments. She has supported clients with projects that include strategic options reviews, governance best practice, risk management and contract delivery. Sarah-Joy began her career working in local authority homelessness, and has since worked in local authority commercialisation roles. She has supported the development of local authority wholly-owned companies and delivered a range of projects to housing associations. She is experienced in providing critical friend support to organisations setting-up and delivering complex projects.

Michael joined Local Partnerships following four years driving public sector collaboration projects as Regional Programme Manager for the Government’s One Public Estate Programme. He has held a number of senior roles in housing and local government over the last 25 years including Head of Service roles within two North West Metropolitan Councils, and Assistant Director within a Combined Authority. Previously he also provided consultancy services to the private sector. He has managed several major change and service re-design initiatives and is a qualified business analyst.
