Housing Delivery Summit 2015: New Thinking, New Delivery Models

POSTED ON 11th October 2015

The housing crisis is one of the most pressing economic issues facing the UK today. If a solution is to be found, it will require some radical new thinking. Local Partnerships is partnering with City & Financial Global for this event and our chief executive,Judith Armitt, will give a presentation about how devolution and the rise of city regions will affect housing delivery.

The conference will be opened by Brandon Lewis, Minister of State for Planning and Housing, who will outline how the Government’s housing policy will help deliver its homebuilding targets. Other prominent speakers include Cllr Keith House, co-author of the Elphicke-House report, who will talk about on how councils can act as ‘housing enablers’ and what this means in practice. The CEO of the Homes & Communities Agency, Andy Rose, will describe how the HCA can support innovative partnerships between councils and the private sector

Other leading experts will discuss a range of key issues, including:
• The potential for direct commissioning
• Joint venture structures for housebuilding
• Case studies on recent innovative housing delivery models
• How to attract institutional investment into the private sector rented market

Note: Local Partnerships will not benefit financially from this conference.
