Greenhouse Gas Accounting Tool – Webinar

WRITTEN BY Local Partnerships
POSTED ON 2nd July 2021

Join us on Tuesday 13 July for a webinar covering the updates and enhancements to the Greenhouse Gas Accounting Tool.

The Greenhouse Gas Accounting Tool is free to use, launched in 2020 in conjunction with the LGA and reviewed and approved by the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). The tool has proved popular, with over 250 downloads from local authorities across England and Wales.

During the last twelve months we have been working on updates and refinements to the tool to include additional scope 3 functionality and a revised set of carbon intensity factors from BEIS. Other improvements have been made at the request of our users.

This webinar will provide guidance on how to make best use of the tool and to introduce the new areas of functionality. Joining us at the event is Kate Fearnyough, from the GHG inventory team at BEIS, who will provide more insights on the annual programme to develop and refresh the carbon intensity factors. We will also hear from Colchester Borough Council on their experience of using the tool.

This straightforward and easy-to-use tool supports local and combined authorities in robustly reporting their own greenhouse gas emissions, without incurring an annual burden in consultancy costs.

Register for the webinar now.
