“Enabling good growth, everywhere: Place leadership in uncertain times” is the title for the 2016 ADEPT conference.

With a significantly changing national and international landscape, place leadership and place services have never been more vital. The UK needs more housing, sustainable economic growth, better connected and more resilient places. Looking forward, we need healthy local economies to secure funding for vital local services through retained business rates. Plenary sessions during the conference will discuss issues such as where next for devolution, continuing the transformation as place shapers, public sector finance and twenty-first century infrastructure plus a series of workshops focusing on issues such as skills, innovative technology and major roads for the future.

Simon Bandy, Growth and Sustainability Programme Director at Local Partnerships, will speak at the housing workshop on the first day of the conference. To see the full line up of speakers, see here.

ADEPT members are at the heart of maximising sustainable growth in communities throughout the UK. They help deliver projects that play a vital part in unlocking broader economic success and create more resilient communities, economies and infrastructure.

The conference is being held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport. If you’d like to book, click here. If you require further information please contact Alison Young at AlderCross Events via or phone 01244 813 335.
